Why it matters in AI-enabled work

AI creates value only when people can act on the resulting evidence or recommendation. Implementation connects analysis to responsibility, decisions, and follow-up.

What strong practice looks like

A strong practitioner identifies affected stakeholders, the decision gate, the accountable owner, the communication needed, and the evidence that will show whether action worked.

Common failure modes

  • Producing useful analysis without a decision owner or next action.
  • Assuming communication is complete because a report was delivered.
  • Scaling a workflow without checking stakeholder impact, feedback, or follow-through.

Development practices

  1. 1Name the stakeholders, decision owner, first action, review date, and evidence of progress.
  2. 2Ask what could block adoption and build a proportionate feedback route.
  3. 3Review an implemented change for unintended effects before expanding it.
